There are many things in the world that we cannot lose. Such as our health, our families, friends, wealth, lovers and so on. But among them I think the most important one is the Earth.
As far as I am concerned, Earth is our mother, without Earth, without life. It provides us with enough water, food, and sunshine, mineral and so on.
Sadly, the rapid development of society and technology progress leads the Earth –the only mother of human beings is now facing a great threat—environment protection. As you can see, the road is full of cars; too many factories and buildings, things like littering and spitting still happen all the time; people are cutting down the forests which is the home to many plants and animals, and killing animals for food or their skins. Besides we take more nature resources than we really need. As a result, we give off too much flue gas that our atmosphere is no longer clear and health for breath .Air becomes more and more foul which is the important element that cause we often get sick. In addition, nowadays our city is surrounded with rubbish, dirty water. It is really doing harm to our health if we don’t take measures to stop it.
