Application of Data Mining among the Educational Administration System of Colleges and Universities

Abstract:Educational management has been a top priority among the university management at universities.At present, many colleges and universities deploy the appropriate educational administration educational administration system to achieve the automation of information in order to alleviate the heavy contradiction of workload.Many current educational administration systems rest on the information management level and the main operations are data entry and inquiry.This hierarchical system has a high efficiency of transactional data processing,but when you need to process large amounts of data,it has too many problems to deal with for the system.Therefore, taking advantage of data mining, optimizing and upgrading of the existing educational management system,making it has advantages in terms of generalizing and summarizing the systematic data simultaneously not just in transaction processing.And forming decision to guide the next administration work with good significance and value.
In this paper,we take research for the educational administration system of colleges and universities based on data mining technology.On the basis of summary of research status of the educational administration system and relational theory and algorithms of data mining,we design functional architecture and database of the educational administration system.The system using C / S and B / S mixed mode structure,taking advantages of two modes effectively.This paper describes the application of data mining in educational administration system using student achievement as an example.We establish the course grade classification model with the regularity of grade distribution of students.By analyzing three achievement data to dig out each student's mastery of the course and knowledge points to provide guidance and decision-making for subsequent teaching to improve the teaching quality and teaching effectiveness.
