知识目标:听说读写本单元的单词和短语。monitor. start. get on well with sb. ready. ready to do sth. promise. fast. fit. Just. ball. game .team .best. score. tidy. sure. everybody. just like .beautiful
能力目标:
1)能够读懂竞选班委的阅读材料
2)能够表达自己的优点并且撰写竞选班委的演讲稿。
情感目标:
肯定自我,增强自信心以及主人翁的意识积极为班级服务的精神。(我行,我能行,我一定行!)
二、重点及难点:
重点:利用老师提示的阅读方法读懂关于竞选班委的演讲辞。
难点:根据所学的目标语言撰写竞选班委的演讲稿。
三、教学过程:
Step 1 Warming-up
Let the students watch a video, then ask: who is he? The students answer: He is Obama. What is he doing? He is running for a president (help the students answer) Yes, he wants to make his country beautiful and strong. Now you have a chance to be our monitor in our class. Which would you like to be? The class monitor, PE monitor,the cleaning monitor, English monitor or math monitor? And why?(First ask several students to make a model, ask them to practice it)
Step 2 Work in pairs, ask and answer the questions.
A:Which monitor would you like to be ?
B: I would like to be a class monitor/PE monitor/ cleaning monitor/English monitor/ maths monitor.
A:Why do you want to be it?
B: Because I ??
Step 3 Reading.
1.Listen before reading: The teacher play the recording, the students listen and answer

Fast reading:
2.Ask the students to read through the passage and answer the questions
1)What are they doing now?
2) Which monitor does Lingling want to be?
3) Which monitor does Daming want to be?

3. Read the paragraph 1 and check (√) the true sentences.

Step 4 Say after reading:
Look the pictures and retell one of the monitors.
Step 5 Write after saying:学校的艺术节快到了,为了保证我们班取得好的成绩,现选举一名文娱委员(music monitor)帮助老师并指导同学们的训练。
(小组内每人写一份发言稿,小组内交流,组长负责选出最合适的人选上台展示)
Step 6:Summary: First, let the students think about what we have learned and let several students talk about them ,(幻灯片展示本节课的重点,让学生朗读并尽快记住)
